About 82 Near Me
Find local services. Find local businesses. Get found.
82 Near Me is a local business and services platform designed to make it easier for people to find the services they need and for businesses to be found by the people looking for them.
Whether you are looking for a plumber, electrician, hairdresser, builder, cleaner, accountant or another local service, 82 Near Me brings businesses and services together in one organised system.
For businesses, 82 Near Me provides a place to establish a presence, showcase what you do and make it easier for potential customers to discover your services.
A simpler way to find the right service
Finding a business online can be surprisingly difficult.
A search can return hundreds of results, but that does not necessarily mean you are finding the right type of business or the specific service you actually need.
82 Near Me is built around a structured system of:
Category → Trade → Service
This allows businesses and services to be organised consistently, making it easier for customers to narrow down what they are looking for.
Instead of simply searching through a long list of businesses, you can start with the type of service you need and work towards the specific service that matches your requirements.
Looking for a local service?
82 Near Me is designed to help you get from "I need someone to do this" to businesses that provide that service.
You can explore services by category, trade and individual service, then view the businesses associated with them.
The aim is simple:
Find the service. Find the businesses. Make the connection.
Are you a business?
82 Near Me gives businesses the opportunity to establish their presence on the platform and make their services easier to discover.
Your listing can identify the services you provide and the areas you cover.
Businesses can also develop their presence further through an 82 Profile, providing additional opportunities to present their business and showcase what they offer.
As the platform develops, 82 Near Me will provide businesses with additional ways to promote their services, present products and reach potential customers.
The 82 system
At the heart of 82 Near Me is a structured service system.
Category
The broad area a service belongs to.
Trade
The particular type of business or specialist trade.
Service
The specific service that business provides.
For example:
Trades & Construction → Damp Proofing → Rising Damp Treatment
This structure helps keep the platform organised and makes it easier for customers to identify the service they actually need.

More than a business directory
82 Near Me is being developed as a platform rather than simply a list of businesses.
The platform brings together several connected parts:
Local Listings
Find businesses and services in your area.
Business Profiles
Give businesses a dedicated place to present themselves and provide more information about what they do.
Sales Catalogue
Give businesses the ability to showcase products and other items they offer.
Advertising
Create opportunities for businesses to promote themselves across the platform.
82 Book
Help customers make enquiries and connect with businesses.
These features are being developed as part of the wider 82 Near Me platform.
Built around local businesses
The purpose of 82 Near Me is straightforward: make it easier for customers to find businesses and make it easier for businesses to be found.
The platform is organised around the services businesses actually provide, rather than simply treating every business as another entry in a directory.
That means the focus is on what a business does, where it operates, and how a customer can find it.
Find what you need
Whether you are looking for a specific service or building your business presence online, 82 Near Me is designed to give you a clearer route from search to connection.
